About our CSA Veggie Boxes
What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is also known as ‘subscription farming.’ You purchase a subscription from a local farmer just like you would subscribe to a local newspaper or magazine. But rather than receiving a magazine each week, you receive a ‘share’ of the week’s freshest vegetables.
CSA Shares provide much more than just weekly produce. They give you the opportunity to become involved in the ecological and human community that supports the local farm.
About your CSA Share
Our CSA season is 20 weeks long and runs from June through Mid-October. Starting in June you can pick up a box filled with seasonal veggies grown right here on the farm! Each box contains 10-12 different seasonal items (Check out our 'What's Growing in 2018' List).
We will provide a weekly newsletter with updates from the farm, an explanation of everything in your box and some suggestions on how to use all your vegetables.
- On the Farm - Pick-up is available all day Tuesday and Wednesday
- Arlington Heights - Pick-up is on Tuesdays from Noon-6pm
- St. Charles Farmer's Market - Pick-up is on Fridays from 8am-1pm
- Batavia Farmer's Market - Pick-up is on Saturdays from 8am-Noon
How Much Does it Cost?
If picking up on the farm, the 2018 CSA Share costs $680 for the full 20 weeks of produce. Off-farm pick-up locations are $700.
Visit our Store to purchase a share! Please contact us if paying in full is not a possibility - we are more than happy to set up an installment plan that works for you!
